Waternook's estate is approached via a long sweeping driveway.
This super-luxury self catering estate with luxury concierge services enjoys 26 acres of private grounds in the heart of The Lake District National Park with the mighty Hallin Fell as a backcloth and over half a mile of uninterrupted lake Ullswater shoreline. On this shoreline sits a boathouse and private jetty, the perfect spot to go fishing or have a romantic picnic whilst taking in the breath-taking views of Ullswater. At one end of the estate there are swings and ropes in our wood, enroute there are several stone seats allowing you the perfect opportunity to just sit, relax and watch the world go by. For more on Ullswater and what wildlife you can expect to see visit our Ullswater page. The Lake District was been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site on Sunday 9 July 2017. It now joins other wonders of the world like the Taj Mahal, The Great Wall of China and Machu Picchu with the status.
A security gated entry system allows access to The Great Barn and to the principal residence - Waternook [if you are booking this property as well]. Please note: unless exclusivity of the estate is booked [i.e. both Waternook and The Great Barn] there may be guests staying in the other property Waternook in which case the grounds are shared.
Both properties have ample and secure parking provision.
Should you wish to arrive by helicopter or yacht, please make contact to discuss personal arrangements.
